A Skillshop was launched earlier in 2007 within the Manchester Arndale.  Branded Manchester Arndale Careers Centre, the success of working with the Arndale Management, Retail Skills Shop and Jobcentre Plus has meant that tenants can source all their training and recruitment needs through the Careers Centre promoting a ‘one stop shop’ and ensuring easy access to employers.

Karl has played a pivotal role in the success of the Careers Centre and therefore with the support of the Learning and Skills Council, Skillsmart Retail (Sector Skills Council), Jobcentre Plus, Retail Skills Shop was proud to appoint Karl as the first Skillshop Ambassador.

Karl has promoted the Skillshop concept both internally within the Manchester Arndale and externally through other Centre/Town Centre Managers. With his assistance the engagement with employers has been tremendous and the success is culminating in an awards event to be held early October 2007.
